Beclometasone Topical(0.025% W/W)


Beclometasone topical is used to treat itching, oozing, crusting, dryness associated with skin diseases like eczema, dermatitis or psoriasis.

How it works

Beclometasone belongs to a class of medications called as corticosteroids. It works by preventing release of certain chemicals from the immune cells responsible for causing dryness, itching, oozing, and crusting of skin, thereby relieving the swelling and irritation.

Common side effects

Skin thinning, Itching, Skin redness, Urticaria, Burning sensation

Lidocaine Topical(2.50% W/W)


Lidocaine topical is used for temporary relief of pain caused by recurrent mouth ulcers, denture irritation, anal or rectal problems. It is also used before minor surgeries as local anesthetic.

How it works

Lidocaine belongs to a class of medications called as local anesthetics. It works by stopping the sensation of pain by acting on peripheral nerves in the body.

Common side effects

Skin redness, Application site swelling, Abnormal sensation

Phenylephrine(0.10% W/W)


Phenylephrine is a decongestant and is used to relieve blocked nose caused by common cold or in seasonal nasal allergies (hay fever).

How it works

Phenylephrine stimulates receptors on blood vessels and leads to constriction of blood vessels. This leads to decrease in the flow of blood in the blood vessels of nose, which in turn relieves nasal congestion.

Common side effects

Difficulty in urination, Loss of appetite, Increased blood pressure, Facial swelling, Tachycardia, Heart rate irregular, Nausea, Headache, Restlessness, Dizziness, Rash, Shortness of breath.


You may need to apply the cream under an airtight dressing for certain duration of therapy, as recommended by your doctor.
As per your doctor’s advice, if the cream is applied on the face then there is no need of the dressing as the face skin thins easily.
Do not mix with any other creams or ointments.
Inform your doctor if symptoms do not disappear after 2 to 4 weeks of applying the cream.
Exercise caution when used in children, as the treatment should not last for more than 5 days, unless instructed by your doctor.
Avoid direct contact of cream with your eyes. In case of direct contact, wash your eyes with water immediately and seek immediate medical attention.
Inform your doctor immediately in case you swallow the cream.
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.

Yes. These are all the other names local anesthetic, lidocaine. Lidocaine acts by stopping the sensation of pain by acting on peripheral nerves in the body.
Q. Is lidocaine an opiate/ narcotic/ steroid drug/ omega 3/ nitrates/ cholesterol/ contain codeine/ sulpha?
No. Lidocaine (Lox) is an amide type local anesthetic used to relieve pain. It is not an opiate narcotic, steroid, omega 3, nitrates and cholesterol. It does not contain codeine or sulpha.
Q. Is lidocaine and Lox2 safe?
Lidocaine (also available as Lox2) is safe if used in prescribed dose for prescribed duration as advised by your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Q. Is lidocaine available over the counter?
No. It is available only by prescription given by your doctor.


Q. Is phenylephrine an antibiotic/a stimulant/an NSAID/ does phenylephrine work/ does phenylephrine makes your nose run/ does phenylephrine has aspirin in it?
Phenylephrine is not an antibiotic, stimulant, NSAID, but a decongestant and is used to relieve blocked nose. Phenylephrine works for most of the patients if taken as recommended. It does not have aspirin in it.
Q. Is phenylephrine safe /make you drowsy/ high/ keep you up/ addictive/ thin blood/ cause constipation/affect birth control/ safe in pregnancy/ safe for breastfeeding?
Phenylephrine is safe if taken at recommended dosage and duration. Some patients have been shown to have an upset stomach, drowsiness and other side effects. It can be addictive. It does not thin blood. It does not affect birth control. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding due to high risks.
Q. Can i take phenylephrine with ibuprofen/pseudoephedrine/citalopram/Nyquil/ acetaminophen/ dextromethorphan/ Zyrtec/ Flonase/ Advil?
Drug interaction with any of the above mentioned drugs is not documented, but it can occur. Always follow your doctor’s advice before taking any medicine with phenylephrine.
Q.  Can i take phenylephrine with high blood pressure?
Do not take phenylephrine with high blood pressure.
Q. Is phenylephrine the same as Sudafed?
No, phenylephrine is not same as Sudafed which contains pseudoephedrine.
